Natyamandira School of Dance was established in January 2024 by Maya Aralimatti under the guidance of Guru Vidushi Seetha Guruprasad. Natyamandira is located in St. Louis, Missouri. Here, at Natyamandira we aim to provide a holistic approach to Indian classical dance teaching primarily Bharatanatyam. Students will gain the theoretical knowledge about the rich history of the art form along with the aesthetics of Bharatanatyam. We aim to provide quality education and foster a fun loving learning atmosphere.
About Maya
Maya Aralimatti is a multifaced artist. She is a software engineer by profession, proficient in Bharatanatyam, Sewing, Knitting and is a blogger. She was first introduced to dance when she was in 3rd grade. Ever since then dance stayed with her although she was away from dance for a while. Her passion for dance brought her back to dance in recent years. She has successfully completed Junior and Senior grade Bharatanatyam exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education board. She is a disciple of Guru Vidushi Seetha Guruprasad and currently mentored by Vidushi Bhuvana Guruprasad from Bangalore. She has given several performances since her school days and at corporate events while she was working in India. Her love for teaching and spreading the art form stemmed Natyamandira. She is a passionate dancer. She is dedicated and focused in every venture she takes on. Her quest for knowledge and learning the art form even deeper persuaded her to enroll in Masters in Bharatanatyam program at the Aria University, California.
